The Minister of Finance: Kiev hopes to get tranches from the IMF and the EU in June
The Minister of Finance of Ukraine Natalie Jaresko hopes that Kiev in June will receive the second tranche from the IMF and the 1st tranche under the 3rd package of macro-financial support from the EU.
"during the month we will sign a contract with the United States on granting them loan guarantees for the issuance of Eurobonds Ukraine on 1 billion dollars. Agree with the EU on their new program - 1, 8 billion euros, which will come in three tranches. Probably 1st tranche will be in June, because the second tranche of the IMF, at approximately the same period, "the Minister said in a statement released on Thursday interview" ".
On Tuesday, the EU Council finally blessed the allocation of the country of the 3rd package of macro-financial support 1, 8 billion euros.
A new credit facility from the IMF to Ukraine provides for the allocation of Fund 17, 5 billion dollars, and all international creditors in four years - USD 40 billion, including fifteen billion dollars through debt restructuring. Dialogues with creditors on debt restructuring of the Ukrainian authorities began March 13. In may-June will be another test run of Kiev of the new conditions of the IMF program.
Ukraine has already received the 1st tranche of the IMF in the amount of 5 billion dollars in 2015 it is expected to allocate 10 billion.
