Regional headquarters to liquidate consequences of an accident with leak of phosphorus in Lvov Region have been established in Ukraine. As a REGNUM correspondent reports, the headquarters are headed by Chair of Lvov Regional Administration Valery Pyatak.
Under information released by Pyatak, as of 08:00 a.m. today, 729 people were evacuated. The victims are brought to Lvov hospitals. Besides, units of the Western Operative Commandment were summoned by alert and a large-scale preparation for liquidating results of the accident.
A train carrying phosphorus derailed in Lvov Region, Ukraine. The incident occurred on Monday, at 04:55 p.m. local time in Busky District. The train consisted of 58 carriages. 16 people received poisoning by product of combustion; 13 of them were sent to a military hospital in Lvov in poor condition.450 persons and 80 machines were involved in liquidating consequences of the fire. Ukraine?s Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Kuzmuk arrived to the scene.
