Azerbaijan and Russia have initialed an agreement of mutual broadcasting of Azerbaijani and Russian TV-channels. The announcement was made today by Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Vasily Istratov yesterday.
As Trend news agency informs, the ambassador said the sides had discussed text of the agreement and expressed their political will for continuing the broadcasting. The ambassador did not name certain TV-channels, about which an agreement was reached.
Azerbaijan made a decision to suspend broadcasting of foreign channels on national frequencies. Broadcasting of the Russian First Channel and Turkish STV has already been suspended. Broadcasting of RTR-Planet channel is still on, because talks on broadcasting of Azerbaijani state AzTV in some regions of Russia are continuing.
