Poroshenko: Kiev for 5 years will ensure the implementation of the Treaty on the Union with the EU
The head of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that Kiev wants for 5 years to provide the implementation of the agreement with the European Union about the unity and achieve the conditions for applying for EU membership. Poroshenko tried to convince the EU to recognize the right of Ukraine "as any European country" for membership in the European Union, subject to the eligibility, reports RIA " Novosti ".
"I urge the European Union, supporting the European aspirations of the Ukrainian people to recognize that Ukraine, like any other European state which respects and ready to defend European values, may in the future become a member of the European Union, of course, subject to the achievement of all the desired traits," said Poroshenko, opening the summit Ukraine-EU in Kiev.
