A plane with Russian rescuers has arrived in China to help find six Russian rafters. They went missing more than two weeks ago in the north-west of the country.
The Russian Emergencies Ministry says the plane is equipped with all kinds of devices needed for a rescue operation in a mountainous area.
The six had planned to to go rafting down the Yurunkash river for eleven days, starting from August 22.
However, their Chinese guides lost contact with them at the very beginning of the journey.
Rescue teams are now scouring the river, which stretches for more than four hundred kilometers.
Over a thousand people are involved in their search.
Chinese rescuers fear the rafters could have been caught up in a landslide. There`s also some concern that the rafters will soon run out of food.
