Assistant Secretary of state Victoria Nuland said that the consultations in Kiev had received assurances of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko that Ukraine does not want to start fresh combat operations in the Donbass.
"we have no information, both own and received at the consultations in Kiev that someone from the Ukrainian side, any of the Directors, and I spoke with President Poroshenko, Prime Minister (Arseniy) Yatsenyuk, has the intention to launch fresh military operations that, Clearly, would be inconsistent with the Minsk agreements," the us diplomat said at a press conference on the results of the talks in the Russian foreign Ministry.
