The Minister of culture of Ukraine has made the initiative to send all the monuments to Lenin in the Museum of everyday life
Dismantled legally about the condemnation of the crimes of communism, the monuments to Soviet leaders, among them Lenin, can be placed in the National Museum of the life and architecture of Ukraine, made an initiative Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of culture Vyacheslav Kirilenko.
"National Museum of rural life and architecture is ready to provide areas for the placement of monuments to Lenin and other Soviet chapters that will be dismantled in Accordance with the legislative act ", - RIA "news" words Kirilenko.
He said that in connection with the entry into force of the law " about the condemnation of the Communist and national socialist (Nazi) totalitarian regimes in Ukraine and the prohibition of imposing their symbolism, the monuments to the leaders of the party and the repressive organs of the USSR are obliged to be dismantled. Kirilenko explained that the act requires local authorities to dismantle monuments to the persons involved in the Holodomor of 1932-1933 in Ukraine, political repression, the persons who held the positions of head of the Communist party, the highest bodies of power and administration of the USSR, the Ukrainian SSR (SSR), other Soviet republics (with the exception of persons whose activity was largely associated with the development of Ukrainian science and culture), employees of the Soviet security agencies, the events connected with the activities of the Communist party, the establishment of Soviet power in Ukraine or in a separate administrative-territorial units, the battle against the participants of the struggle for independence of Ukraine in the twentieth century. Before Tuesday it was announced that left-wing political movements of the European Union adopted a decision to buy from the Ukraine, a number of monuments of the Soviet era. As said authorized organization "European left" Anna Kelmann, " if the new government in Ukraine don't need her past - whatever it was in the Soviet Union, This means she won't have a future in the European Union. We will succeed and certainly will save at least a part of a world heritage site, fell into the hands of vandals ". In Ukraine in the framework of the struggle with the Soviet past more than a year continues active destruction of monuments. Radicals began to tear down the monuments to Lenin in Ukraine from December 8, 2013. In 2014, the cases of vandalism are relatively platycephalidae on the entire territory of Ukraine. This phenomenon is called the "war of monuments" or " Leninabad ". On 9 April the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the law prohibiting public use and propaganda of the Communist and national socialist symbols in the country, as well as recognizing these criminal regimes.
