"On a number of circumstances almost half of the firms that worked in the past year, in this quarter is not going to work," stated Executive Director of the Association of tour operators of Russia Maya Lomidze. According to her, the main motivation was the General state of the economy, the fall in demand for travel and the difficulties in obtaining financial guarantees.

At the same time the head of the Federal tourism Agency Oleg Safonov has declared that the reduction in the number of domestic travelers traveling to another state in 2015, due to particular attention that the management powers given to development of domestic tourism in Russia. He stressed that the Agency will seek to further adjust the ratio of incoming and domestic tourism.
