The Parliament of Ukraine adopted in the first reading the draft law on the national police, which involves a major reform of the MIA.
Such a decision at the meeting of Verkhovna Rada on Thursday upheld 284 parliamentarians with the necessary minimum of 226 votes. The document must undergo a second reading.
This bill, the authorities have plans to reform the law enforcement system of the country, promising a new high-quality European law enforcement agencies and a decent wage to its employees. According to the document, from the national police will operate: criminal law enforcement, patrol and law enforcement agencies, law enforcement protection, special law enforcement agencies and law enforcement special forces (special forces - ed.).
