A new study completely destroyed the society's idea of what wet wipes kill bacteria. Everything was exactly the opposite: wipes only contribute to the spread of microorganisms. In consequence of this they are very dangerous to use in clinics where patients with weakened immunity, accordingly, the risk of infection increases. However, and to apply them at home also is not necessary: it increases the risk of infections by spreading bacteria.
The biggest risk of infection is noted in the toilet, especially if the same cloth is used with 2 sides near the toilet, informs portal Medik Forum. This is the 1st study of similar kind, in which researchers tested 7 brands of wet wipes for the prevention of hospital acquired infections, including Staphylococcus aureus and tetanus.
And earlier researchers have found that the well-known hygiene products can't cope with their own task - to clean off bacteria spores from surfaces within 10 seconds. In each case, the wipes will not be destroyed by the bacteria, and contributed to their spread from one surface to another.
Not to mention the fact that wet wipes with disinfectant qualities, in fact be less effective in fighting germs than pieces of cloth soaked physiological
