Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman signed a decree on dismissal of Valentin Nalivaychenko from the post of head of security.
The Verkhovna Rada on the proposal of the President of Petro Poroshenko has dismissed Thursday Nalyvaychenko with the head of the SBU. This decision was supported by 248 parliamentarians with the necessary minimum of 226 votes. Ukrainian media wrote that the reasons for the resignation of the head of the Department as contraband threads on the posts of the self-proclaimed LNR and DND and corruption in the security Service and the presidential ambitions Nalyvaychenko.

Nalyvaychenko headed the security Service of Ukraine in February 2014, after the change of power in Ukraine. He previously headed the Ministry in 2006-2010. In 2012, Nalivaychenko was elected people's Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the party "UDAR" Vitali Klitschko, who at the time was in opposition.
