Researchers from the Brussels free Institute have already begun to explore the most famous landmark in the Belgian capital. Scientists verifies the authenticity of the sculpture "Manneken Pis" ("Mannequin Pis").

They are using special analysis and laboratory studies to establish the composition of the alloy and rust bronze, then the conclusion is actually whether exhibited in the Museum of Brussels, the statue was made in 1619 by architect Jerome Du Casno, RIA Novosti reported citing local media.

Remember that the legendary "Mannequin Pis", which is popularly called the Manneken Pis is a fountain in the form of a 60-centimeter figure of the baby resembling Cupid. The main attraction of Brussels is located at the intersection 2 of narrow streets in the historical centre of the Belgian capital.

Note that a long time ago on display for residents and guests of the Belgian capital a replica of the statue.
