In particular, Merkel said that Russia could play a major role in resolving the conflict in Syria and other international challenges.
Earlier in Berlin, held trilateral talks with the participation of the favorites, Germany, France and Ukraine. The main theme of the meeting, as expected, was the situation in Ukraine. Angela Merkel said that Poroshenko was invited to the German capital, in order to directly explain the Ukrainian position on the situation in the Donbass.
