Kiev declared a technical default

The Kyiv city Rada has used a moratorium on the repayment of external and domestic debt of the Ukrainian capital from November 6, 2015. Today, the debt of Kiev amount to 18 billion (864 million dollars).

"Kyivrada used moratorium on the repayment of external and domestic debt of Kiev from November 6, 2015. In other words, Kiev is practically declared a technical default," - said the Deputy of Rada, the head of city election headquarters of the "Ukrainian Association of patriots - DILL" Oleg Kalinichenko.

He added that earlier a strange way of cash enough for all. "And now it turns out that we before heating season have debts that can not pay" - quoted by UNIAN Kalinichenko.

The Deputy gave a recommendation to the Kiev authorities, how to pay debts. "In order to return the debt, we need to stop stealing on repairs! Also leave in Kiev the taxes that currently go into the state budget! You need to make real steps, and not reset everything only on "paperednik", - said Kalinichenko.

The decision on the temporary moratorium on payments on external debt capital at a meeting of city Council on 8 October confirmed 90 deputies. Chairman of the budget Commission of Kyiv city Council Andriy strannikov said today that the debt obligations of the city of Moscow amount to arrange 18 billion (864 million dollars). Only for their service in the year to 2 billion UAH (94 million dollars). "We as before are firmly committed to finding a solution to debt. It would certainly make all parties", - said the head of the budget Committee.

According to him, Kiev within a few weeks of negotiations with an ad hoc Committee of creditors on restructuring foreign debt. But the results of these negotiations are "far from understanding".

Remember, according to reliable information the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, the national debt powers as at 31 August amounted to almost 1.5 trillion UAH (more than 70,5 billion). Out of this total external public debt amounted to $ 976 billion ($46 billion), total domestic debt - 518,5 billion USD (24 billion dollars).
