Elections in LNR officially postponed to February 21, 2016
The head proclaimed Lugansk national Republic (LNR) Igor Carpenter signed a decree on the postponement of local elections on 21 February 2016. "To postpone the day of first election, local chapters, and the communities in which they are defined by the decree of the head of the Luhansk national Republic from 18 September 2015 to 1 November 2015 to 21 February 2016 ", ? reported in the content of the document, made public " the Luhansk information center ". On 10 October the head of the DND Alexander Zakharchenko has signed a decree on the postponement of local elections in the DPR on 20 April 2016. On the first day weekend authorized representative of the self-proclaimed Donetsk national Republic in the negotiations of the contact group, the head of the people's Council DND Denis Pushilin did not rule out that the date of local elections has the ability to be adjusted depending on the fulfillment of Kyiv Minsk agreements. On the last working day of the week it was announced that the elections of heads of local self-government in Donetsk people's Republic scheduled for 20 March 2016, the corresponding decree was signed on the last working day of the week Chapter DND Alexander Zakharchenko. Power DND and LNR on Tuesday agreed to Postpone local elections for 2016. During this period of time the Ukrainian Authorities will be obliged to enforce all taken on their own shoulders in Minsk obligations, namely: to provide the Donbass special status, to prevent the persecution and reward the participants within DND and LNR, and also to take amendments to the Constitution in new, coherent with the self-proclaimed republics of edition. Kiev welcomed the postponement of elections, but also demands the cancellation of the election results of November 2, 2014 in DNR and LNR and informs about the need to adopt a special law on the elections within the limits of separate regions of Donbass.
