The constitutional court of Ukraine continued its consideration of the law on lustration

The constitutional Court of Ukraine (KSU) on Thursday continued its consideration of the constitutionality of several provisions of the law " about the cleansing power ", transfers television channel.

The court conducts the meeting, despite criticism from Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk, who said yesterday that the current composition of the constitutional court cannot consider this case because eight members of the court are subject to the law on lustration. Near court passes a meeting of supporters of the law.

"The court decided to prolong the proceedings," said presiding at the meeting.

in mid-September of last year the Parliament of Ukraine with the 3rd attempt blessed the law on lustration. The Supreme Court and a group of deputies from "Oppositional block" has addressed in KS with the request to assess the constitutionality of the law. The court proceeded to consider this issue on 16 April 2015.

The court planned to continue the trial on the constitutionality of the lustration law on Thursday. The Ministry of justice of Ukraine yesterday said that KSU might be on the next week the consideration of the case due to lack of quorum.
