New analysis shows that Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 crashed into the sea. A new report released by the Australian Bureau of transport security (ATSB) showed that investigators portrayed the final moments of the missing plane.
At the end of the flight simulation airplane in a spiral in his final moments descended at speeds up to 25 thousand feet per minute. Expert in aviation Jeffrey Thomas, the report debunked the theory that the pilot was flying the plane when it landed in the sea.
Shortly after the plane left Kuala Lumpur on a flight to Beijing on 8 March 2014, MH370 disappeared from the radar, starting one of the greatest mysteries in aviation history. More than 20 pieces of debris were extracted by the researchers, but only three were confirmed as from MH370. They include flaperon mentioned in the report, which is found off the coast of Tanzania in June 2016.
So far, 110 thousand square km (42 thousand square miles) are part of the underwater search for MH370, the search should be completed in 120 thousand square kilometres (46 thousand square miles). "Where they are looking for is still an area where everyone agrees that there is a plane," said Thomas, adding that there were small differences in opinions.
Officials from Malaysia, China and Australia, as well as experts from the United States and the United Kingdom, met in Canberra to discuss the ongoing search. Aviation expert Thomas said there were proposals to extend the search MH370 outside the current search zone.
