In Baghdad, a suicide bomber blew up a truck
In a busy shopping district in Baghdad last weekend, the truck exploded, killing more than 100 people. It is the deadliest attack in the war-torn country in recent years.

The daring attack occurred on Saturday night in the heart of al-karrada. Killed at least 125 people, including 25 children and 20 women.

Family came to the city center to celebrate the completion of the Holy month of Ramadan. People went shopping and watched football matches. Truck at full speed crashed into a building that housed a cafe, shops and a gym. Firefighters rescued the injured people in the adjacent buildings.

ISIL has claimed responsibility for the attack. It was one of the last attacks of the terrorist group during the month of Ramadan - a period of fasting and prayer for Muslims and therefore a time when the jihadists start operations against those whom they consider their enemies. At least 147 people were injured.

ISIS has promised a surge in terrorist attacks during Ramadan. The storming of Baghdad fell in just a few days after there was a mass murder in a cafe in Dhaka, Bangladesh, terror international Ataturk airport in Istanbul, Turkey and attacks in Yemen.
