At least 19 people were killed and almost 60 were injured in the explosion at the indoor stadium in the English city of Manchester, where he performed with pop singer Ariana Grande.
When young fans of the singer began to leave the arena, the explosion shook the area. Followed by confusion when the people began to panic in search of safety, and the sound of the weeping of sirens soon pierced the smoky air outside of the arena.
A U.S. official said the deadly bomb is now considered a "probable" cause of the explosion, and the man at the scene in Manchester was identified as a likely terrorist. In a statement, the Department of homeland security says he's "carefully monitoring" the situation and added that the Department "has no information indicating a" concrete threat related to music venues in the United States."
According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred shortly after the singer left the stage. Calvin Welsford, 18-year-old fan, said he heard "a loud explosion" a few minutes after the concert ended. Singer Grande, which has just completed the first of three planned performances in the UK, a few hours later wrote on Twitter: "I'm so sorry, I have no words."
The Russian Embassy in the UK said that he does not have information about the Russians injured in the explosion.
