Human remains discovered in the Western Mexican state of Michoacan, owned by journalist Salvador, Adam, went missing a month ago, said the state Prosecutor.
Burned remains were found in Nueva Italia, where Adam worked as General Director of the channel "Channel 6 Media TV," said state Prosecutor Jose Godoy. Adam disappeared on may 18, when his family reported that he was kidnapped by armed groups. Because Adam was a journalist and "was mentioned in the media as a victim of bullying because of his profession", office of the attorney General began investigating, said the state government 4 days after his disappearance.
In April 2016, the Committee to protect journalists published a report about Adam, which reported that local police arrested him and his wife Frida Ortiz, which was also co-owner of the channel "6 Channel Media TV" while the two were covering a demonstration in protest against the abolition of state-funded social project.
Adam told CPJ that this was a surprise to him. "We view social problems and sometimes irritated the authorities by doing this, but I have never had had problems," he told CPJ. According to CPJ, Mexico is most dangerous country for journalists. In the country were killed 7 journalists because of their work.
