China withdraws its troops from the disputed border area Dalam
The Chinese government issued a warning to neighboring India to withdraw its troops from the disputed border area Declam to "avoid further escalation".
The confrontation, which lasts for the fifth week, concentrated on a thin strip of land at the junction with Bhutan. Although the land and is not part of the territory of India, this area is close to the "chicken neck," strategic corridor that serves as a vital artery between Delhi and its far North-Eastern States. It seems that this dispute has escalated in recent days, analysts say, Beijing, and new Delhi hope to consolidate their positions. On Monday China spent training on gunshot swimming in the Qinghai-Tibetan plateau, near the site of the current confrontation. The purpose of the exercise, according to reports in China's state media, was to improve the fighting ability of the troops in such places.
More belligerent internal environment in the media has strengthened the feeling of unsolvability around this dispute, and the press statement of both sides urged leaders to protect "sovereignty" and "honour" of their respective countries. Widespread opponent, published the Chinese tabloid Global Times on Tuesday, called on India to stand down or "face the consequences of all-out confrontation".
The dispute began on June 16 when China accused the Indian border guards in the North-Eastern state of Sikkim in the intersection of its territory in southwestern Tibet, trying to prevent the construction of new mountain roads. India denied that its troops were present in the area. According to a statement released by the Indian Ministry of external Affairs, Indian staff "came to the Chinese construction of the party and urged them to refuse to change the status quo."
Then followed a formal compliant or demarche issued by the government of Bhutan, accusing China in the construction of the road "on the territory of Bhutan" in "direct violation" of its territorial Treaty obligations.
India and Bhutan maintain a historically strong relationship. Bhutan cooperates with India to define its foreign policy, the Indian army is involved in training its armed forces.
China, which has no formal diplomatic relations with Bhutan, has repeatedly denied that he violated any agreements, and encouraged the participation of India in this question "completely unjustified".
On Friday, the Indian government convened an all party meeting for a short introduction to the national political parties with the situation in Declame in which senior Ministers expressed support for a diplomatic solution.
