In Afghanistan during the explosion killed 24 people

According to the representative of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Afghanistan, at least 24 people were killed in a car bomb explosion in Kabul on Monday morning. At least 42 people were injured in the explosion.

The explosion occurred around 6:40 a.m. local time (10:10 p.m. Eastern time), when a Toyota Corolla exploded near a police station, a spokesman for CNN from the Ministry of internal Affairs Najib Danish.

In a statement to local journalists, the Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack. This is stated in the statement issued by Taliban spokesman Mujahid by Zabiulla.

"I strongly condemn the terrorist attack aimed at public servants in Kabul today," the statement said. "Our security institutions will prosecute those responsible".

The bombing is the latest of a long line of attacks in the Afghan capital. Last month 7 people were killed when suicide bombers struck during the funeral of a Senator's son, who was killed during anti-government protests. The Taliban denied involvement in this attack, which affected 119 people.
