A California man has pleaded guilty to killing 5-year-old son. He admitted a month later after investigators found the body of a child. The child disappeared shortly after his father Aramis Andresen took him on a trip to Disneyland in April.
A hearing on the case of murder of the first degree had initially planned on Tuesday, but the 35-year-old accused Andrussian from South Pasadena, CA refused his guilt. He remained calm and serious during his court appearance.
Lawyer Andreassian, Ambrosio Rodriguez, said after the hearing that his client "has no regrets" about their actions. Rodriguez said that Andresen Sr. gave police information about where to find the remains of his son. Andrussian was sentenced to 25 years in state prison. He will be formally sentenced on August 23. The remains of a baby was discovered in the lake Cachuma the County of Santa Barbara in early July.
In April he was reported missing after the boy's mother Ana Estevez said her ex-husband did not return the boy after a walk. That day, when the boy was to be returned to the mother, the pedestrian found Andrussian Sr. unconscious next to his car at the Park in South Pasadena and called the police. His son was not there.
Authorities said Andrussian left Los Angeles after questioning the police and went to Las Vegas. He stayed there for 47 days, during which time he shaved his beard and dyed his hair. The police arrested him in late June.
