The President of Russia Vladimir Putin took part in the BRICS summit.

In Sama in the people's Republic of China hosted a two-day summit of the BRICS countries. The summit was attended by President of Russia, Chairman of the people's Republic of China, the President of Brazil, Prime Minister of India, President of South Africa. First, they held a meeting behind closed doors in a narrow format, and then the meeting continued in an enlarged format with the participation of all members of the delegation.

The main themes of the summit was the discussion of the economic situation in the world, the conflicts affecting various regions, and ensuring national security of the BRICS countries and development cooperation.

In his speech, Vladimir Putin thanked the Chairman of the people's Republic of China XI Jinping for the invitation to take the summit in this city. He also praised what he saw during the visit and expressed admiration for the development of the region. He noted that in recent time the development of cooperation between our countries, Russia and China, is a priority for the Chinese leadership.

In soderjatelno part of Vladimir Putin emphasized that the BRICS countries need to intensify the activities of the development Bank. This is a new structure established by the BRICS countries, and urged to provide financial resources major infrastructure projects.

He told the audience that only in Russia in the near future there are three major infrastructure projects that require investment. It is the construction of a highway near the town of Ufa, which hosted the last BRICS summit, the improvement of the judicial system of the country,as well as technical upgrading facilities for water activities located in the basin of the Volga river.
