Sex changing operations in Belarus: free of charge

Sex changing operation are performed in only two countries in the worlds free of charge - in Belarus and France but only for those who is really in need of it.

A patient must have transsexualism diagnosis to lie down on surgical table, he has to be of the full legal age, be observed in Minsk city psychoneurologic dispensary for year and a half and get a positive conclusion of inter-departmental commission that a person who was born as male is female in fact (or vice versa).

Then there is sex changing in passport and only after six months at the minimum a person will have appointment card for surgical or hormone operation.

Now 90 persons are expecting for their turn in Minsk city psychoneurologic dispensary to that operation and preceding meeting of inter-departmental commission.
