Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal breezed past their opponents, both in straight sets, to settle an encounter in the French Open final.
Djokovic beat a mistake-prone Roger Federer 6-4, 7-5, 6-3 to reach his first final in Paris, while Nadal didn`t give compatriot David Ferrer a single chance - 6-2, 6-2, 6-1.
The No. 1 lost three previous semifinals at Roland Garros, including last year, when Federer stopped the Serb`s 43-match winning streak. However, the 16-time major champion didn`t show his best on Friday, ending up with an enormous 46 unforced errors against Djokovic`s 17.
Djokovic won Wimbledon and the U.S. Open last year, then the Australian Open in January.
If the Serb beats six-time French Open champion Rafael Nadal in Sunday`s decider, he will become only the third man in tennis history with four major titles in a row, with the last such achievement coming at the hands of Rod Laver in 1969.
