After explosions at chemical plant in Chinese province Czilin contaminants can get into Amur river, Far East ecologists consider.
As director of Far East branch of World Wide nature Fund Yurii Darman reminded, series of explosions at chemical plant in the upper river Sungari occurred on November 13. He didn`t exclude that large amounts of benzene, which is a strong carcinogenic poison, got into river, and noted that water supply point at Harbin was closed, and since Wednesday - will be closed at Czimusi town, 200 kilometers from Amur. "Within 3-4 days water will reach Habarovsk, water supply point of which is situated in Amur", - noticed Darman.
