Administration of George Bush warned leaders of Byelorussia about "serious consequences" and possible sanctions in case amendments to Criminal Code of the country will be approved.
"Approval of such undemocratic bill can lead to serious consequences for Byelorussian authorities", - was said in announcement of official representative of USA state department Shown McCormack.
"USA will go on further limitation measures against Byelorussian authorities if they don`t follow international norms", is noted in announcement, where USA joins European Union and demands from Byelorussia to "reject this bill".
By his words, suggested bill "is meant for frightening of Byelorussian citizens and suppression of freedom as country moves toward presidential elections of 2006".
This Friday Chamber of Byelorussian National Assembly passed in second reading amendments to criminal and criminal-procedural codes, which strengthen responsibility for actions directed against human and public security.
This standard act was introduced to lower chamber of parliament by Byelorussian president. Bill provides criminal responsibility for "misdeeds against state, which create necessary prerequisites for foreign pressure on Byelorussia".
