Putin believes to save quality of relations with Germany
Russia believes the pace of cooperation with Germany and the quality of interaction will be retained in the future.
Russian president Vladimir Putin during the meeting with German foreign minister Frank-Valter Schtainmayer noticed: "We hope the pace of our cooperation and the quality of our interaction are retained in the future". "The relationships between our countries are on high level now, - said the head of the state. - You have contributed significantly for that during your previous post."
According to Putin, "analysis of the agreement, covenanted between Christian-Democratic union and Social Democratic party of Germany at least as for the section of foreign policy and relations with Russia, gives us grounds to hope for such positive development".
"We have arranged about the meeting in the middle of January and intergovernmental consultations in Tomsk on March of the next year during our last talk with federal chancellor Angela Merkel", - said the president.
Putin expressed hope that during today meeting "it would be possible to talk on the subjects who were of mutual interest".
"Germany was and remains the important partner for us either in European Union or in two-way relationship", - noted Putin. This, he said, "concerns of concordance of positions over international problems".
