The demographic crisis in Russia is unexampled among industrial developed countries and causes anxiety. The report of World bank "Early to die" says about that.
In experts? of the World bank opinion the long demographic crisis which Russia is outlasting, stipulates for several reasons. The situation was aggravated seriously by rapid political and economical developments of period of transition while there was incessant decline of common weal.
The life expectancy increased in 1995 - 1998 by three years but finance crisis of 1998 brought this improvement to nothing and continual reduction of life expectancy of male population began.
The other reason for the crisis is a high violent death-rate which is one of the highest in the world. Alcoholism is associated with criminality. Part of crimes committed by men and women being intoxicated was about 30% and 12% accordingly in 2002.
There is noticed in the report by the World bank that during next 50 years further reduction of the country population more than by 30%. The estimation shows if the dynamics of age mortality coefficient conformed with tendencies in the countries of European Union in the middle of 1960s, population would be 17 millions of people more than now.
