Winners of "Golden verb" contest, held among foreign journalists, covering life and events in Russia, were pronounced.
Rewarding ceremony took place at solemn soiree in honor of 5-th anniversary of All-Russian mass media public organization "Mediasouz" - main organizer of the contest.
9 statues of "verbs" - 3 golden and 6 silver - were awarded to winners in 2 nominations: "Precise view" /works about social-political life of Russia/, and "Travel along Russia" /materials about geographical, ethnic and cultural variety of Russia/.
Owners of "Golden verbs" in nomination "?Precise view" became 2 TV companies - American CBS and Norwegian TV-2. Their journalists Jonathan Sanders and Austen Bogen were awarded for documentaries about events in Beslan. The main trophy in nomination "Travel along Russia" went to journalist William Gasperini from "Radio of Netherlands" for program "The Heathen and Orthodox believers - original religions are established in Russia again".
