Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk airport resumed its operation, broken by powerful cyclone almost two days ago. The airport ferry service reported completion of cleaning the runway, taxiways and platforms from snow at 8 p.m. local time (1 p.m. Moscow time) on Wednesday. At about the same time ferry communication between Sakhalin and mainland was resumed. The dispatcher on duty from JSC "Sakhalin sea lines" reported, that the four ferries serving this sea line, had had to wait through bad weather at the mainland coast. By January, 4 evening the storm in Tatarsky strait calmed down and the first diesel-motor ship "Sakhalin-7" left Vanino port in Khabarivsk region to Kholmsk port.
