Adherents of Ukraine and the European Union signed in the financial part of the Association Agreement. The document takes into account the creation of a free trade zone. A similar agreement with the EU signed in addition, Georgia and Moldova.
The agreement was signed during the EU summit on June 27 in Brussels from European side - President of the European Council Herman van Rompuy, European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso. From the Ukrainian side the signature set by the President Petro Poroshenko.
The economic part of the Agreement refers to the solid financial integration of Ukraine with the EU, and the creation of a thorough and comprehensive free trade area. The Association agreement between the European Union and Ukraine probably ratified by all 28 member countries of the EU and Kyiv, Interfax reports.
Earlier, the European Council confirmed the temporary use of specific parts of the Agreement, which will start to work long before all the countries-EU members ratify the document. This includes provisions on the area of the independent trade, which will begin, the expectations of the parties, with the fall of 2014 after ratification by the Ukrainian Parliament. The political part of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU was signed on 21 March this year.
A similar agreement with the EU entered into among other things, Georgia and Moldova. Before signing the document Barroso announced that the Association agreement does not represent the final stage of the European integration of Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
Let's add, that on the eve of signing the document in the Department of public relations of the EU said that the agreement is discussing jointly agreed priorities for the period up to 2016, the task of which is to prepare for the implementation of the Association agreement, including participation in the free trade zone.
