Crimean museums advised to sue for gold of Scythians
If the Netherlands will hand over the collection of Scythian gold from 5 museums of Crimea Ukraine, this will be a violation of Museum law. About it, according to RIA Novosti, announced the Chairman of the Commission of the Public chamber of Russia on culture Andrey Kovalchuk. The exhibits at the moment are at the exhibition in Amsterdam.

According to the version Kovalchuk, in case of their transfer to Kiev, Crimea, Ukraine will have to apply to the international Tribunal. "While this information comes from the Ukrainian side. If this decision is, then, sadly, it had more political, for the following reasons this pressure on everything connected with the accession of the Crimea, has long been known. Naturally, there can be no doubt that the collection should be passed to the Museum," he said, adding that the court can continue for months or even years, but the Crimean museums need to win it.

on June 26, the Ministry of culture of Ukraine announced that the collection after the show in the Netherlands will return to Kyiv, as recognized by the state property of Ukraine. Institute of Amsterdam, which owns the Museum, refuted this information. on 24 June, the Minister of culture of Russia Vladimir Medinsky said that the exhibits will stay in Amsterdam until September.

The collection of Scythian gold was removed from the Crimea to the exhibition of the archaeological Allard Pierson Museum in Amsterdam in February (before the referendum on joining the Peninsula in the Russian Federation). Today Ukraine and Russia simultaneously claim to the Scythian treasures.

Dutch exhibition "Crimea: gold and the secrets of the Black sea" is a collection of various archeological finds, even ceremonial helmet and jewels.
