Bulgaria rejected request of Russian "Gazprom" for review of treaty with Bulgarian state company "Bulgargas" on gas transit through territory of the country.
Bulgarian minister Rumen Ovcharov expressed his opinion on this issue: "Russian side demanded reconsideration of calculation schemes for Russian gas transit through Turkey, Greece and Macedonia. We insist that this suggestion is unacceptable. Treaty, which was signed in 1998 and is valid by 2010, doesn`t provide reconsideration procedures".
Sophia rejected request of "Gazprom" several days after gas conflict between Russia and Ukraine was settled.
