During 14-th stage of "Lissabon-Dakar-2006" rally second child died under wheels of escort lorry. The incident took place in the morning on 200-th km post of penultimate state between Tambakunda and Dakar. Most likely that 12-year old boy was running across the road in front of car, not taking its speed into consideration.
Police started investigation of child`s death. Organizers of race announced that rally must continue because it is a great event for Senegalese. "There are no doubts that final stage of "Dakar" will take place on Sunday, as it has been planned", - said director of rally Etienne Lavigne.
It was informed earlier that one of 2 Latvian crews, participating in automobile rally Lisbon-Dakar, ran over 10-year boy during 13-th stage of motor rally in Senegal. A child came to competitions with parents and tried to run across the road at one moment. Doctors arrived to place of the accident immediately but couldn`t save the child.
