Rate of Russian gas transit through Ukrainian territory will be less than agreed $1.6 in next 4 years. This was announced by vice-president of "Gazprom" Alexander Medvedev during press-conference.
He reminded that rate for gas transit was increased to $1,6 for 100 cubic meters per 100 km in the beginning of 2006. The treaty about Russian gas transportation was signed for 5 year`s term.
But Russia made prepayment for gas transit to Ukrainian side in amount of $1 milliard. This prepayment will be used in future and actual rate for transit will be less than $1.6.
As for possible attempts of Ukrainian side to dispute conducted treaty about transit and supplies of Russian gas, Miller announced that "Gazprom" doesn`t see any serious risk in that.
Medvedev emphasized that Ukraine has no ground to concern about supplies. Answering question about possible problems, connected with limited possibilities of Turkmen pipeline system, vice-president of "Gazprom" said: "We have clear idea of mined and transited volumes of Middle Asian gas. There is no doubt that balance of Ukraine will be provided".
