Candidature of Alexander Rutskoi withdrawn from Kursk election for third time
Election committee of Kurskaya oblast refused political party "National will" in registration of candidates for participation in election to regional Duma, appointed on March 12. The leader of the party is ex-governor of oblast Alexander Rutskoi.
Decision of regional election committee was based on results of check-up, carried out by Office of Prosecutor of Kurskaya oblast.
Complaint on "National will" was lodged by 4 citizens, who insisted that conference, which took place in December of 2005, was held with violations of current legislation. Election committee passed this complaint to Office of Public Prosecutor, and the latter turned to Federal Registration Service. Officials of FRS confirmed facts of violations.
By data of FRS, members of "National will" didn`t notify them about change of the political Council head. By initiative of National Will leader Sergey Baburin this post was taken by Alexander Rutskoi instead of agricultural co-operative president Vyacheslav Fokin.
Moreover, "National will" party has no local departments, which should nominate delegates for conference.
Rutskoi called current decision of election committee as rude violation of law and promised to appeal it in court. By his words, representatives of regional election committee and FRS presented at party conference in December and had no remarks. Rutskoi also noted that citizens, who lodged the complaint about illegal actions of "National will" are not related to the party.
It should be mentioned that candidature of Alexander Rutskoi is withdrawn from Kursk election for third time. In 2000 it happened because of pre-election agitation rules violation and in 2003 - provision of invalid information about place of employment.
