Five people died in the accident at railroad crossing in Vyborg district, Leningrad region. The accident occurred at 3 p.m. at railway crossing Sveklovichnoye, informed the press-service of Russian Emergency Ministry Chief administration in Leningrad region.
On unknown reason, the car driver drove out on the railway, where it collided with a diesel locomotive, going from Vyborg to Zelenogorsk. Five people, three men and two women, in the car died.
Militiamen, investigators team have been working at the scene for about 40 minutes. Railway traffic is renewed.
