Russia to invite more Chinese students

Formation of mutual post-graduate courses and student exchange programs between Russian and Chinese educational institutions is a positive practice, which should be developed. This was announced by Chinese Ambassador in Russia Lu Guchan during meeting with Russian minister of education Andrei Fursenko.

Fursenko noted that student and post-graduate exchange programs between Moscow and Peking universities "are the unique initiative of the countries, which has no world analogues". In opinion of the minister, Russian-Chinese co-operation in sphere of education and science can serve an example of active mutually beneficial relationships. Language barriers remain the main strategic problem at this moment. "We should pay more attention to this problem", - added Chinese Ambassador.

Total number of Chinese citizens learning in Russian institutes of high education amounts to 13 thousands people. Several thousands Russian students study in China.
