Roundish petrifactions, which may be the eggs of prehistoric reptiles, have been discovered in Veshkaymsky district of Ulyanovsk region.
Local paleontologist, the tutor of Ulyanovsk State Pedagogical University Nikolai Mikhailov informed to media on Tuesday, that a schoolgirl Olesya Ivankina from the village Kargino, passing Mukhinsky sand pit, saw roundish petrifactions.
"Some of them were cracked, threr was something reminding dinosaur?s embryos inside them, which a girl saw in the encyclopedia. Petrifications are of about 5 kg each", informed Mikhailov. The paleontologist thinks, that discovered laying of four eggs is likely to belong to a dinosaur of Jurassic period, Age of Reptiles, but he also assumes that these eggs may appear gigantic mollusca.
