The First Russian Federation vice-premier Dmitry Medvedev has supported the idea of establishing new on principal informational system in the sphere of education and promised to provide access to the Internet for all schools and institutes of higher education in Russia.
"We need to create a new on principal informational system in the field of education. The means assigned in the budget of national project to purchasing new facilities of informational system and establishing the Internet system, may be one of the most important directions", said Medvedev at the meeting of the heads of regional organizational groups on realization of national project "Education".
He noted that many Russian schools and higher educational institutes don?t meet European the level of material base.
""It is bad, it requires special attention, but we can live without it after all. But when the school or college don`t have access to the Internet, this educational establishment is blind", thinks Medvedev.
According to him, pupils and students of such educational establishments are unable to get information and knowledge existing in the end network.
"I and the Minister of Education have come to a conclusion that the question of Internet access provided for schools is one of the most important, that is why we are going to do our best to provide the Internet to all schools", said Medvedev.
