Advertising market in Russia grows for one third

Russian advertising market grew for 30% and constituted, on Association of communication agencies of Russia data, $5,01 billion. Meanwhile, worldwide rate of growth in this field constitutes less than 5%.

The largest market segment in Russia is as before television advertising, on which $2,3 billion were spent in 2005 (which is 37% more than in 2004).

Printed mass-media received from advertisers $1,4 billion (growth of this segment decreased from 28% to 16%), $910 million were spent on out-door advertising (growth for 28%), radio advertising took $300 million (which is 20 % more than in 2004).

In 2005 $60 million were spent on the Internet advertising, in 2004 it was just $35 million.

However, on the whole, this industry growth rate decreased for 5%, comparing to 2004. on Association of communication agencies of Russia experts opinion, it shows "normalizing of advertising market".
