Of the "big seven", which includes the United States, Canada, France, England, Germany, Italy and Japan, have agreed to vote against funding the world Bank new plans in Russia.
An appropriate agreement was reached between the Deputy Finance Ministers of the G7 States even last week.
It is currently the world Bank is considering the organization's 9 project in Russia for an aggregate amount of 1.34 billion, even in the sphere of preschool education and increasing energy efficiency. Another 10 projects are under implementation by total 668 million $. Of the "Big seven", as we reported by Bloomberg, have more than 40 percent of votes at the world Bank and, therefore, can block adoption of decisions taken at the Board of Directors of the Bank.
Remember, on July 31, the European Union adopted a decision about introduction of sectoral sanctions against Russia. EU restricted the export of equipment for the oil industry, also banned Russian banks, which are controlled by the state, to sell shares or bonds in Europe. Also, Brussels banned the conclusion of fresh contracts for supply of weapons, equipment, electronics and other products of double purpose.
Earlier the Washington used the sectoral penalties against firms NOVATEK, Rosneft, Vnesheconombank, Gazprombank, Bank of Moscow, VTB, Rosselkhozbank. Their assets will not be frozen, but to invest in new shares and bonds of data structures Americans prohibited.
Previously adherents of the countries "Big seven" issued a joint statement, in which they threatened Moscow negative consequences for its position on the Ukrainian crisis. Well, in the beginning of June, Canada voted against the release of the world Bank loan of 250 million dollars to the French retailer Auchan at expanding the network of supermarkets in Russia.
