The Association agreement with the EU will be in the near future ratified by the Verkhovna Rada, said on the last working day of the week in the evening, foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin.
Ukraine finally signed an Association agreement with the EU, which includes the development of a free trade zone, on June 27. " Trentalance " in July, the European Commission acknowledged that the implementation of the agreement can bear the economic risks for the relations of Russia and Ukraine. Communique on the results of this meeting did not anticipate that Kiev will postpone ratification to address issues with Russia, but Moscow is expected, as this will be done in good faith. In the administration Poroshenko expects that the Association agreement will be ratified until September. Verkhovna Rada first decided to continue working, not leaving on vacation.
" the Treaty will be ratified in the near future and will work ", - said the head of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine in the program on the last working day of the week.
Speaking about the possibility to submit the Application by Ukraine for membership in NATO, Klimkin said, it makes sense, only if such an issue has a political and social consensus.
" We need to find answers as to provide for our security now, in modern conditions. Ask for any security organisation, its membership can be submitted if there is a political and social consensus, and if you clearly believe that this proposal would be adopted ", - he said. In the middle of July Klimkin said that in Ukrainian society such consensus is not, for this reason, the membership in the Alliance is not necessary for Kiev on the agenda.
