Dead bodies of 2 soldiers of mountain-rescue department are taken out of snowdrifts after avalanching in Elbrus region.
This was reported by press-service head of central administration of Russian Emergency Ministry over Kabardino-Balkaria Kantemir Davydov.
"Works for avalanche clearing were resumed in Elbrus region on Saturday morning. Avalanche covered 2-storied building of military mountain-rescue department, which stood guard over Baksan neutron laboratory of Russian Academy of Sciences. Dead bodies of 2 soldiers are taken from snow drifts. They are cousins Gulievs", - said Davydov.
Rescue works with participation of rescuers and male population of nearby Elbrus and Verkhniy Baksan villages were interrupted for a night-time.
Supposedly from 3 to 5 people could be in building covered by avalanche at the moment of accident.
