Yatseniuk: Kiev will not legalize LNR and DND

Ukraine is not going to Legalize self-proclaimed Luhansk and Donetsk Republic, said the Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk.

" Legalize LNR and DND no one will give. This is my political position, " said Yatsenyuk during the session of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

The law on the special status of the part regions of Donbass made by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, assumes that the Cabinet of Ministers and other Central Executive authorities have the opportunity to negotiate with the relevant authorities of local self-government agreement on economic, social and cultural development of the individual regions. Also, according to the document, the state is obliged to guarantee the right of application of the Russian or any other language in public and private life, study, and support of the Russian and any other language, their free Development and equal rights. In addition, the draft law proposes to appoint on December 7, extraordinary local elections in some areas of Donbass.


The Protocol, signed in Minsk on the results of the tripartite meeting of the contact group on the settlement of the situation in Ukraine envisages the adoption by Ukraine of the law on the special status of Donetsk and Lugansk regions and the holding of early elections and includes twelve points.
