Moscow hopes that postponed for one year the implementation of the Treaty on unification of Ukraine with the EU will be documented, said the head of the Kremlin administration Sergei Ivanov.
" It was decided, as long as oral, hopefully it will be documented on paper, about the fact that the implementation of the Treaty on unification of Ukraine with the EU is postponed for one year, " - said Ivanov in an interview, which will be released on the first day of the week.
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the European Parliament on 16 September ratified the Association agreement between Kyiv and Brussels, and it must begin to be used from 1 November 2014. However, Russia, Ukraine and the EU agreed that the implementation of the agreement regarding the establishment of the free trade zone will be delayed until 1 January 2016. Throughout the period of execution of this consensus Russia promised not to introduce measures to protect its economy, including import duties on items from Ukraine.
