Kiev had never filed a complaint in the WTO to ban Russian import of fruit and vegetables
Ukraine has not filed a complaint to the world trade organization (WTO) on the issue of the Russian ban on the import of Ukrainian plant products, but aim to hold meetings on the issue with the Russian side, according to the report the Ministry of economic development of Ukraine.
Russia on October 22, imposed a ban on the importation of all plant products from the territory of Ukraine. This is because the incoming goods came in the Russian Federation without marking, which can be explained by the re-export from the EU. In addition, vegetables and fruits of Ukraine are pests. Yesterday, the Ministry of agrarian policy and food of Ukraine informed that the country appealed to the WTO in connection with the entered Russia restrictions on the import of Ukrainian plant products.
" in connection with the dissemination of information in the media in respect of a complaint to the WTO on the issue of the ban of the Russian Federation on the import of plant products from Ukraine, including transit, the Ministry of economic development and trade of Ukraine informs that the complaint, in accordance with the rules and procedures of dispute settlement in the WTO was not given ", - reported in the explanation of the Ministry.
