Investors are willing to build a plant for desalination, which will give an opportunity to solve the problem of water supply of cities and towns of the Eastern Crimea, said the head of the administration of Kerch Sergey Pisarev Tuesday at a meeting of the Crimean government.

before Ukraine was provided to 85% of the needs of the Crimea in fresh water after coming from the Dnieper river in the North-Crimean canal. Most water was used for agriculture. Water supplies for the needs of the residents of the Crimea in the complete absence of precipitation will last until April next year.

The most acute problem of drinking water supply of cities and towns of the South-Eastern part of the Peninsula, and among them, Feodosia and Kerch. In these purposes in the Republic built a new intake and drilled groundwater wells.
